Controversy surrounding the identity of the so-called ‘celebrity superhero’ has ended following the release of videos showing Billy Murray using powers on set.

The video tape – sent anonymously to The Global Express – sees ex-Eastenders and The Bill star Murray apparently using supernatural abilities while shooting a new ad for , powers he may have had for some time.

Murray – unavailable for comment – was secretly caught on camera by an eagle-eyed crew-member, who wishes to remain anonymous for fears of retribution from the star, whose association with the Krays in the 1960’s is no secret.
A police spokesperson said “Having viewed the video several hundred times we are now confident that ‘powers of a superior nature’ are in evidence from Mr Murray. We are keen to speak to him to discuss whether these powers will be used for good or evil, or just for his own amusement, but he is at present not responding to emails.”

The confirmation of these so called ‘Special Powers’ has shocked the media industry and has prompted large numbers of cast and crew members to speak out about suspicions they have had in the past.

“I’m delighted for him” quipped Former Eastenders co-star Ricky Groves who plays ‘Garry’. “A couple of times I thought I spotted him turning lights on with his mind, but I just chalked it up to great acting. “

The video is being taken as proof of his involvement at the now infamous ‘gunge-gate’ incident when a tank of comedy gunge was mysteriously prevented from soaking gathered celebrities at a charity gala.

Claims of a secret super-hero within the acting community were made at the time and a link was made to Billy but no clear evidence has been found until now.

The BBC today denied that they were scouring archives for evidence of his powers in old Eastenders episodes to re-broadcast in a bid to lift dwindling ratings. As yet no official comment has been released from Mr Murray or his agent but sources have confirmed that Trebor have an ‘Extra Strong Murray Mint’ currently in development in anticipation of the star going public.

Officials are still investigating a recent power surge in Lincoln where witnesses place Billy Murray the same evening. It is unclear whether further tapes will come to light.
